Four chapters of Battle for Katana Kingdom: Special game modes

The adventure event in Brawls Stars goes on for about a month. Each week of Battle for Katana Kingdom is a separate chapter with a featured game mode.

1. Way of the Wasabi

It turns out that Kenji is the reason for this mayhem. The chief decided to try out a new sushi recipe. We can assume that the attempt was successful, as the Brawl Stars characters totally enjoy the special powers they get with that dish.

Wasabi Powers and Sushi Rolls join the game with this chapter.

Samurai Smash is either a 5v5 or 3v3 battle. Brawlers should defeat NPC samuraibots and collect Daruma dolls that drop from them. When a team reaches a specific number, like 60 in a 5v5 battle, they win.

This game mode is active throughout the entire Battle for Katana Kingdom.

2. Rise of the Futomaki Five

Like with the previous chapter, Brawl Stars players can earn double XP during the weekend.

The featured game mode is Mega Buffet. The task is very similar to the club battles of Mega Pig.

Each Club member gets four tickets per day to play the game modes with Wasabi power-ups. Wins add food to your Club buffet. When your Club reaches a milestone of accumulated food, you receive a Sushi Roll as a reward.

3. The Taste of Vengeance

It’s another week of double XP weekend, as the Battle for Katana Kingdom continues.

During this chapter, Brawl Stars players can battle an overpowered demonic form of Kenji. The game mode is called Oni Hunt.

You should act as a team to defeat the NPC. Oni Kenji gets stronger with new levels of difficulty. Complete this challenge fully in one day, and you will get rewards for all 7 days of this chapter. The achievement can be repeated daily.

4. The Final Cut

The last chapter rewards adventurers with double the Starr Drops. Who wouldn't like this?

This week of Battle for Katana Kingdom features Daily Contests for Brawl Stars players. You need to select three game modes or maps for a day, and then play them during them to boost yourself to the top of a daily leaderboard among the players with the same picks. End up in the top 8 to earn rewards.

Beware of Wasabi Powers! Or use them for your Brawl Stars victories

Special powers during a time-limited event? We experienced something similar during the epic battle between good and evil: Angels vs Demons in Brawl Stars. This time, power-ups come in the form of spicy Wasabi, created by Kenji himself.

The event Battle for Katana Kingdom features 60 types of Wasabi Powers. They are divided into four categories.

  • 20 Hot
  • 15 Extra Hot
  • 15 Crazy Hot
  • 10 Inferno

The hotter Wasabi Power is, the stronger effect it applies on your brawler. Each power-up is linked to a Brawl Stars character and has a specific effect on them. It is a good idea to check out what you have in your event inventory and what your brawlers can do with their Wasabi. For example, the voodoo doll of Juju becomes bigger and has more health.

When you unlock a power-up, the respective brawler will get it automatically for each game mode marked with Wasabi.
