Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), like many other games, has its own ranking system. The tiers and medals may be complicated for beginners to understand, so we are here to break it down for you!

To first unlock Ranked mode, you must reach at least Level 8 in Mobile Legends. A total of twelve Unranked/Classic games will be enough for you to reach Level 8 and begin your Ranked journey.
How many medals are there in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang?
There are seven medals in MLBB. The lowest medal where a lot of beginners are sorted is the Warrior medal. Next are Elite, Master, Grandmaster, Epic, Legend, and finally Mythic. Mythic is the highest rank in MLBB, but this rank is also split into four.
There are four levels of Mythic rank with the lowest simply called Mythic. The next level is Mythical Honor, followed by Mythical Glory. The pinnacle of the MLBB ladder is called Mythical Immortal. This rank bracket is where a lot of professional and highly skilled players are based in.

How many stars do I need to rank up in MLBB?
MLBB's ranking system is a lot similar to other games. There are seven medals and under each medal are divisions. To climb through each division, you must win matches and gain stars (points). Once you reach the maximum stars for a certain medal, you rank up to the next division or medal. But if you lose matches and lose stars, you run a risk of rank demotion.
For example, if your rank is Elite III, you need to climb to Elite II and then Elite I to complete the divisions. Once you get the maximum stars at Elite I (4 stars), you will rank up to the next medal which is Master IV.
If you lose matches and land at the minimum number of stars, you will be demoted. However, the Warrior medal will have no star losses with defeats.
Here are all the medals, their divisions, and their required stars for promotion and demotion.
Medal Divisions Min. stars Max stars | Warrior 3 (I, II, III) x0 x3 | Elite 3 (I, II, III) x0 x4 | Master 4 (I, II, III, IV) x0 x4 | Grandmaster 5 (I, II, III, IV, V) x0 x5 | Epic 5 (I, II, III, IV, V) x0 x5 | Legend 5 (I, II, III, IV, V) x0 x5 | Mythic - x0 x24 | Mythical Honor - x25 x49 | Mythical Glory - x50 x100 | Mythical Immortal - x100 (infinite) |
