MLBB Balmond Revamp Build guide: Best items, skills, emblem, combos

The fighter hero, Balmond, just received a revamp in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). On top of his fresh new look, he also receives slight changes to his abilities. These changes aim to fix his problematic kit that made him fall off the meta. Even so, the changes are quite small and do not entirely change his overall playstyle. This means players who main this hero won’t have to worry about making adjustments just to play as him.

With that said, here is a guide on the Balmond revamp in MLBB, including the fighter hero's best items, skills, emblem, combos, and counters.

Balmond restores a portion of his maximum HP whenever he secures kills, with larger recoveries granted for defeating stronger enemies.

Balmond dashes forward, damaging any enemies in his path. If he collides with an enemy hero, they’re briefly knocked back and weakened, suffering reduced mobility and defenses for a short duration.

Balmond briefly gains extra speed and spins with his axe, repeatedly damaging nearby enemies. Each successive hit on the same target becomes stronger. Part of the damage can land as a critical strike.

Balmond delivers a powerful finishing strike in a chosen direction. It deals heavy True Damage that scales with how much health the target has already lost. Though its effect on non-hero units is limited.

Here is what our recommended build for Balmond Revamp in MLBB:

To start your build, you will want to have Tough Boots for faster Crowd Control recovery with Ice Retribution. However, you can delay the boots upgrade and build a War Axe first for faster wave clearing and Spell Vamp. Follow this up with Queen's Wings for the extra damage reduction and skill cooldown reduction effect when you are low on HP.

For the mid to late game, consider building a Dominance Ice to counter most high-sustain heroes. The next two items can be flexible depending on your situation. Generally, you can go for Oracle for increased healing and shield effects on you, on top of the Magic Defense. You can then finish your build with Brute Force Breastplate for more damage and movement speed.

If you are struggling to survive team fights, swap one of the last two items with the Guardian Helmet for the quick health recovery. Additionally, Immortality is also a good option for the extra revive.

To complement the item build above, use this Custom Fighter Emblem set:

The first slot can be Agility for faster rotations. The second slot needs to be Seasoned Hunter if you are playing as the Jungler for faster camp clearing. Otherwise, go for Festival of Blood for the extra Spell Vamp. The last slot can be Brave Smite for the extra HP regeneration when hitting enemies with skills.

For the Battle Spell, you will need to use Retribution if you are playing as the Jungler of the team. Otherwise, you can go for Vengeance for the damage reflect or Flicker for mobility.

Balmond has a very straightforward combo. You will need to start by hitting your targets with Skill 1: Soul Lock to slow them down and reduce their defense. Follow it up with Skill 2: Cyclone Sweep and stick close to them to deal the most damage. Make sure you hit targets that are not tanky so you can easily execute them.

Once they are on low HP, preferrable around 15%, hit them with Ultimate: Lethal Counter. This will most likely one-shot them, guaranteeing a kill. You will be repeating this combo all the time, but you can always alter it depending on the situation. You can even use your dash to go through walls.

Additionally, Balmond’s Ultimate can be a powerful tool for securing major objectives. However, you’ll need to time it together with Retribution, casting both in sync to maximize your chances of securing the last hit. This takes practice to perfect, so you might want to try it in training mode first.

Balmond barely has any mobility on his kit. This makes him vulnerable to heroes who can easily chase him down. Heroes like Dyrroth, Lunox, Moskov, Freya, and Alpha are good candidates. These heroes also have good sustain and can survive long enough to counter Balmond's aggression.

As for the item counters, Balmond is a bit tanky with a good sustain on her kit. For fighters, go with Sea Halberd. Mages, on the other hand, will need to use a Glowing Wand. As for tanks, their best bet is to buy Dominance Ice. All these items have one thing in common. They reduce the healing and shield power of enemy targets.
