Can you play MLB The Show 25 on PC?
While Sony has started to become more lenient with what platforms its first-party games are released on, it's not ready to bring the popular baseball game franchise to PC just yet. Sony officially announced that MLB The Show 25 won't be coming to PC at launch or in the future, meaning fans without a console will need to wait for another year to potentially access the next game in the series.
If this isn't the answer you were looking for, it, unfortunately, gets worse. Sony also announced that MLB The Show 25 won't be available on any sort of video game subscription service. This includes Xbox Game Pass, which is the sole way PC players got to access previous MLB The Show games. While it's not the same as owning a digital copy of the game, at least PC fans were able to play the latest baseball title.
Now with MLB The Show 25, that possibility is also being ripped away from players. The only platforms you can play MLB The Show 25 on are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. This is the first year MLB The Show is exclusively available on the current-generation consoles, so any players still with a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will join PC players on the bench.
Perhaps Sony will allow MLB The Show 25 to join the Game Pass lineup sometime in the future. However, that's likely the only way PC players could get access to the game, as Sony seems firm on the decision to not develop a separate port for the platform anytime soon.
MLB The Show 25 launches in early access on March 14 and fully releases on March 18.
