You may see Ace appear in two different areas while playing Marvel Rivals, and we’ve got the meaning of both for you.

An Ace in Marvel Rivals is a bit differently than what you'd expect in other games. And because of that slight change in its definition, plenty of players are confused. One meaning involves defeating the entire team and the other is what the MVP is known as before the game finalizes.

Let's go over the term fully and what it means in Marvel Rivals.

What does Ace usually mean?

In most games, an Ace is when you defeat the entire enemy team in a round, by yourself. Think of first-person shooters like VALORANT, Counter-Strike, and even certain modes in the likes of Halo and Call of Duty.

If you're in a one-life game mode and you get the kill on each player on the opposing side, that's an Ace. It'll even pop up on your screen in some titles. But this isn't how Ace works in Marvel Rivals.

What are the two meanings of Ace in Marvel Rivals?

As we previously stated, there are two meanings of Ace in Marvel Rivals. You'll see one a lot less frequently than the others. So, here they are:

  • Ace appears next to the top player of each team on the scoreboard. Whoever is marked as Ace at the end of a match is either the MVP or SVP, depending on which team wins.
  • Ace appears on your screen when your team eliminates the entire opposing team in rapid succession. Any member can contribute and deal damage leading to a quick team wipe.

So, those are the two instances of where you'll see the term Ace appear in Marvel Rivals. It's not as confusing when you have the meanings laid out for you, is it? It'd be nice if they included the meanings somewhere in the game itself.
