Marvel Rivals will soon be available to pre-download, so you can jump right into the 6v6 action when the game launches.

The highly anticipated Marvel Rivals is almost here. The hero shooter-style game, similar to Overwatch, kicks off on December 6, 2024 worldwide. Prior to that, however, you can pre-download Marvel Rivals to ensure it is ready to play as soon as it launches.

We'll tell you all the details on how to do so and when you can do it.

Alongside its launch trailer, which revealed the rest of the game's 33-character roster, Marvel Rivals invited players to pre-download the game. This is more than likely to help with server congestion at release time and to avoid any download hiccups early on.

The pre-load time is the same for everyone on PC at 00:00 UTC on December 4. That translates over to 4 p.m. PT on December 3, a day prior. This goes for every platform except console players. The download for console opens up on launch day instead of earlier in the week.

Again, console players will be able to download Marvel Rivals when it goes live. PC players who want to pre-download Marvel Rivals can do so at the time noted above. You can access the pre-load option through Steam or on the game's website.

  1. Go the Marvel Rivals website or the game's Steam page
    • For the former, you'll be led to either the Steam page or Epic Games Store page
  2. Select Marvel Rivals and choose to install the game
  3. Wait for the install period to complete
  4. Then wait for the game to unlock in your region on launch day to play

Steam and the Epic Games Store are the two platforms available for Marvel Rivals on PC at launch. It is also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 when it arrives on December 6.
