You might need to get Assists in Marvel Rivals to complete a daily challenge. Well, we’ve got you covered on how you can!
It is important to be a team player and do your part in any multiplayer game. If you're a Strategist, but also a Duelist or Vanguard, you might rack up assists in Marvel Rivals. They're vital to the teams success and can also help you complete challenges to earn Chrono Tokens for your Battlepass.
The process can be a bit confusing, as to what counts as an Assist versus an Elimination that is granted without a final hit. That's where we come in, with an explanation of how exactly Assists work in Marvel Rivals.
How to gain Assists when playing Marvel Rivals
Assists are a good way to show you're doing something for the team even if you aren't racking up kills. Typically, you'll find these as a Strategist. If you're healing an ally or giving them a boost of some kind and they get an Elimination, you'll get an Assist.
If you are firing your weapon and do some damage to the enemy, don't expect an Assist. Instead, you'll get a notch in the Elimination column. It will not be considered a Final Hit as shown in the end-game scoreboard, but its an Elimination nonetheless.
So, what exactly counts as an Assist in Marvel Rivals? Here's a quick list:
- Healing a teammate while they get an Elimination.
- Give a teammate a shield and they get an Elimination shortly after.
- Stun an enemy and a teammate follows up with an Elimination.
- Provide a buff to your team and they get an Elimination during it.
These are the most common ways. And you'll know you got an Assist from one those actions by seeing the handshake icon and the player's name appear on your screen.

- Rocket Raccoon - His healing orbs and Ultimate ability can get you a ton of Assists in Marvel Rivals.

- Magneto - This Vanguard can put a bubble shield over himself or an ally. Do the latter and if they get an Elimination while active, you get an Assist.
- Hulk - The same goes for Hulk. He has a bubble shield he can put up on any ally within the area when he pops it.
- Cloak and Dagger - This duo can get a lot of Assists. Both characters have a wall they can throw forward which can grant some, and anyone that gets an Elimination while inside their Ultimate will also add an Assist to your column.
- Storm - She's a rare case of a Duelist notching a lot of Assists. She has speed boost and damage boost capabilities. If a teammate is in the circle and gets Eliminations, expect a handful of Assists to come you.
