Here’s your first look at all of the abilities for Human Torch of the Fantastic Four as he joins the roster of Marvel Rivals.
Johnny Storm has joined the party, everyone! The Human Torch of the Fantastic Four is finally in Marvel Rivals and we've got you covered with all of his abilities. He'll slot in as a Duelist when the Season 1.5 update takes place.
And he looks like an immediate game changer. Think of him as a version of Storm, except with fire and dive capabilities. So, let's get our flame on and take a look at what he can throw at you in Marvel Rivals.
All Human Torch abilities and team-ups in Marvel Rivals
Human Torch has the amount of abilities you'd expect from him in Marvel Rivals. He's got his basic attack, a fiery tornado in an unexpected team-up, and a dive bomb that is sure to catch many healing Strategists off guard.
Let's take a look:
- Fire Cluster - Launch forward a cluster of splitting fireballs.
- Blazing Blast - Launch a fireball to deal damage or create a Flame Field at the targeted area, dealing damage to enemies within.
- Flaming Meteor - Dive towards the ground, dealing damage to enemies and detonating any Flame Fields hit.
- Pyro Prison - When 2 or more Flame Fields exist, connect them to form a fire wall that deals one-off high damage to enemies that pass through the wall, or continuous burning damage if the wall exists in an enclosed area.
- Plasma Body - Hold LSHIFT to enter a state of accelerated ascent.
- Supernova (Ultimate) - Explode with cosmic fire to deal damage to enemies within range and enter Supernova state. While in Supernova state, Blazing Blast will transform into Flame Tornado, and Plasma Body can be activated without any cost.
And here are the two team-up abilities he launches with:
- Omega Fire - When the Human Torch activates Supernova, Storm can summon an Omega Fire by selecting a Flame Tornado with Omega Hurricane. Likewise, when Storm unleashes Omega Hurricane, the Human Torch can transform it into a Burning Hurricane with Supernova. Any Flame Tornado caught in a Burning Hurricane will grow in size and damage.
- United Siblings - The Invisible Woman taps into her powers, channeling Psionic Might to fortify the entre Fantastic Four team. This formidable force bolsters Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and Human Torch, granting damage resistance. Once activated, they can continually generate Bonus Health, making up for lost Health with each passing moment.

So, the question now is, when can you use Human Torch and his awesome abilities in Marvel Rivals? Well, he comes at the halfway point of Season 1.
The Season 1.5 update starts to roll out during a maintenance period at 1 a.m. PST on February 21, 2025. When that downtime is over, he's all yours to scorch up the the enemy team with.
