In the LoL 26.3 patch notes, Riot Games is rolling out several changes to champion bounties, turret plates, and vision.

League of Legends (LoL) patch notes 26.3 are already here with many new updates and skins. Let’s review all the updates and cover everything you’ll need to take care of in the weeks ahead.

Champions bounties

Riot Games accelerated the rate at which champion kill gold devalues in the new season, as players were already earning guaranteed rewards from completing role quests while also denying progress to their opponents. However, the adjustment swung too far, creating scenarios where champion kills felt nearly valueless. In this patch, Riot is tuning the system to achieve some balance.

  • Devalue rate on death: 1 per 2.5 gold given out ⇒ 1 per 3.5 gold given out
  • Re-increment rate from farming: 1 per 5 gold earned ⇒ 1 per 7 gold earned

Turret plates

It has been too difficult for teams to convert a winning teamfight into meaningful progress toward the enemy base, while split-pushing strategies have allowed towers to fall a little too quickly. To address both issues, Riot is adjusting temporary turret resistances so they can better handle solo pushes without getting in the way of full-team attacks.

  • Bulwark Temporary Resistances: 20-100 per plate based on nearby enemy champions ⇒ 30-50 per plate based on nearby enemy champions
  • Reactive VFX when hit by champions are now smaller, especially if the turret was recently attacked

LoL patch notes 26.3: Faelights and vision

Faelights were one of the biggest additions to League of Legends in the 2026 season. Riot thinks this new addition has been good for the game. However, a “concerning trend” has led them to implement updates. Riot found that the bonus vision areas from the river pixel brush faelights give too much vision early in the game. The ward spots are already valuable, and in high-traffic areas, so these extra vision zones aren’t needed.

  • Reveal region shape: expanded past scuttle pad and epic pit entrance ⇒ cuts off before scuttle pad and epic pit entrance
  • Stealth Ward Trinket Cooldown: 170-90s (by level) ⇒ 210-90s (by level)

Other significant changes:

  • Scryer's Blooms: Removed the Scryer's Blooms just outside base gates (from Cloud/Chemtech rift)
  • Fiddlesticks: While pretending to be an effigy on a faelight, Fiddlesticks will now display on-model visual effects as if a faelight-enhanced effigy. It does not gain bonus vision or destroy existing wards
  • Neeko: While disguised as a ward on a faelight, Neeko will now display on-model visual effects as if a faelight-enhanced ward. It does not gain bonus vision or destroy existing wards

As for the support control wards, they will now start in the role quest slot from the beginning of the match. Combined with the ability to double-bind this hotkey, this should help smooth out the experience for supports.

All of these changes will go live with LoL patch notes 26.3. Be sure to check the official release schedule for your time zone.
