Here’s everything you need to know about Yasuo in LoL’s Swarm game mode.

Yasuo is one of the unlockable characters in the new Swarm PvE game mode in League of Legends, here's how to optimize Yasuo in the new mode.

Yasuo is unlocked right after Illaoi, and introduces the new mechanic of Critical Strikes as a central part of his kit. If you've unlocked Yasuo and haven't unlocked the Passive: Critical Chance upgrade yet, unlock Vortex Glove by playing Jinx until level 25, then play another game and upgrade the Vortex Glove to at least level four. Once this is done, you'll unlock the Passive for Critical Chance, which is crucial to Yasuo's playstyle.

Yasuo Swarm Guide

Yasuo's abilities are as follows:

Passive: Yasuo gains 15% Critical Chance

E: Yasuo Dashes forwards, gaining a shield. Enemies hit by Yasuo during the dash are damaged, and he slashes in an area at the end of the dash, dealing damage again. Importantly, this ability gives you invulnerability frames during the dash itself.

Ultimate: Yasuo summons an enormous wind wall facing the direction that he is. The wind wall will destroy any enemy projectiles that try to pass through the front, and will repeatedly knock back enemies who try to pass through. This is a great crowd control tool that can buy your team much-needed space.

Yasuo Weapons Tier List

With all the weapon options in Swarm, here are the ones we think are best with Yasuo.

S Tier: Battle Bunny Crossbow, Bunny Mega-Blast, Echoing Batblades

A Tier: UwU Blaster, Lioness' Lament, Final City Transit, Blade-o-Rang

The most important thing about weapons for Yasuo is their ability to either upgrade off of Critical Chance, or innately being able to crit. Yasuo's builds will be focused on sheer damage output, and stacking as many Critical Chance sources and beneficiaries as possible is key.

Yasuo Passives Tier List:

These Passives are the best for Yasuo, mostly due to the weapons they upgrade or internal synergy with his kit:

S Tier: Critical Chance

A Tier: Projectile Count, Damage, Ability Haste

B Tier: Maximum Health, Movement Speed, Armor

C Tier: Health Regen, XP, Pickup Radius

The ultimate upgrade for Yasuo is Critical Chance. His whole kit revolves around trying to crit as often as possible. From there, anything that upgrades his number of attacks or their damage are the second-best options. While Crit Chance is king, others will fill out your build beautifully.

Yuumi Quest Upgrades

When it comes to Yuumi Augments, Yasuo is generally going to be rewarded for taking anything that ramps his Damage, Critical Chance, Ability Haste, or Projectile count. The more often you're casting, the more often you're critting.

How to play Yasuo in Swarm

As Yasuo, you are a Seraphine-level damage threat for your team. You're going to be relied on to do not only massive AoE damage but single target as well. You're going to want to prioritize being able to have as many weapons upgraded as possible by the time you get to late game.

Your Passive is a massive upgrade in your Critical Chance, but only really matters if you have more Critical Chance or weapons that crit. For that reason, prioritize the Critical Chance Passive above everything else.

Use Yasuo's E to escape from dangerous circumstances or to facetank dangerous effects for your team thanks to the I-frames. Use it to pass through walls of enemies, set off self-detonating enemies while invulnerable, or to create distance for yourself. It's a versatile tool that lets Yasuo play on the fine line of life and death.

His Ultimate is one of the best teamplay tools in the game, allowing you to completely halt an advancing tidal wave of Primordians in its tracks. Use it when you're getting overwhelmed from a few key directions, and priorize just buying your team more time to do damage and dig yourselves out.

That's all you need to know to play Yasuo in Swarm, best of luck out there, Battle Wolf!
