Cheating is approved in Bohemia, but no one has to know.

Console commands were extremely popular in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance thanks to how punishing the game could be at times. Well, as fortune would have it, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has brought back console commands, giving players the chance to cheat if they would like to do so.

While using console commands might sound daunting, for a few reasons, you have nothing to fear by taking advantage of them. You won't get your copy of the game revoked for using them and they don't have any impact on the overall story. Console commands are solely used so you can gain an advantage in specific areas, such as combat or lining your pockets with Groeschen.

To see how to use console commands and a list of all the ones we know about in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, keep reading the guide below.

How to use console commands in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

For starters, let's go over what you need to do to get console commands active in your game. As you might expect, this feature only works for PC copies of the game, so all PlayStation or Xbox users are out of luck.

If you're on PC, follow these steps to enable console commands:

  1. Go into your Steam Library and right-click on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
  2. Select "Properties" and then in the "Launch Options" box, add the line: -devmode
  3. Exit the "Properties" area and launch Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
  4. Once in the game, start a new or existing save and then press the tilde (~) button on your keyboard
  5. This brings up the console along with a lot of text you don't need to worry about

Once you have completed all of these steps, you should be looking at the console with text on it. From here, you can start entering console commands. You can type: "?_" into the console command box to see a list of all usable commands, but that might not do you much good if you don't know what every command is.
