How to find the Hermit’s Grave and Sword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

A few hours into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you have a choice to make regarding how to get into a royal wedding. You can either find your own way in or get in through the local blacksmith or tailor. If you decide to go with the blacksmith, you'll eventually find yourself on the trail of a man simply known as "The Hermit." The Hermit is also the name of a side quest you go on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that requires you to find the Hermit's grave and special sword.

First and foremost, you need to locate The Hermit's hut on the map before you can try and get his sword for Radovan, the blacksmith. Unfortunately, the location of The Hermit's hut is a wide area on your map, so you'll need to travel around the quest area until you find the hut.

To reach it easily, though, go to the center of the quest area and look for a white trail that leads up a mountainside. The Hermit's hut is tucked away in an alcove within the mountains, so you can only get in one way and that's through the narrow path.

Once you find The Hermit's hut, head inside and speak with the NPC sitting at the table or lying in the bed upstairs. In all likelihood, The Hermit will shoo you off, as it's unlikely for you to pass any of the dialogue checks to speak with the NPC further.

From here, you have a few options. What I did was simply sneak behind The Hermit when he was sitting at his desk, choose the "Knock out" option, and rob the NPC's body. You can also rob the NPC without knocking him out or kill him outright. You're just looking for the Diary that The Hermit has in his possession, which you can read to reveal the location of The Hermit's grave.

Once you read The Hermit's diary, you'll receive an updated objective for the side quest that tells you the area to look for The Hermit's grave in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Unfortunately, this location is yet another quest area, so you have to look around an even wider part of the map to find the grave. To make matters easier, just look at the map screenshot below to see exactly where The Hermit's grave is located:

At this exact spot, you'll find a mound of dirt with a sword sticking out of it. This is The Hermit's grave, and you can dig it up by interacting with the mound once you get close enough. Digging up the grave doesn't yield anything but a skeleton, though.

What you're really after is the steel sword that's sticking out of the grave. Pick that up and then head back to Radovan, as you have the special sword you originally set out to acquire. You can now forge the sword and get invited to the wedding to try and speak to von Bergow in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
