Can you play inZOI on Steam Deck?

While you can play inZOI on your Steam Deck, until the developers optimize it, you might not have a good time.

If you got your hands on inZOI Early Access, you probably did so through Steam. Most players will dive in on their PC, but not everyone. Some gamers like to chill on their couch or in their bed and play on their Steam Deck. So, is inZOI supported on the Steam Deck?

The technical answer is no, but the answer you're looking for is yes. It isn't complicated, as the developers and Valve have it listed as unsupported on its Steam page. But you can actually install it on your Steam Deck and play.

inZOI is available on Steam Deck, but with some issues

There is nothing stopping you from booting up inZOI on your Steam Deck. It has a slew of performance issues, though, that may ruin your experience. If you search it up on X, many are playing and have found some workarounds.

One user on X put out their settings and a notepad screenshot of what you need to do to make things work. We'll warn you about the optimization issues with the game on Steam Deck, but you can try it to see if it works.

In the game's opening hours, many have tried their hand at getting it to work on Steam Deck. From RAM spikes to frame rate tanks and blurry screens to complete device crashes, this is definitely something you should try at your own risk.

We can only imagine inZOI will be made compatible with Steam Deck as some point, but it is not a priority right now. The roadmap for the game has been laid out and its Early Access period is definitely going to focus on other things.
