Castorice can negate the entire team’s death.
Castorice is becoming playable in Honkai Star Rail soon, and she's bound to be the most broken character in the game. See what makes Castorice overpowered and the leaks of her kit, skills, Traces, and Eidolons here.
Castorice is a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Remembrance. She's the third Remembrance character, following Aglaea and the Trailblazer. In Honkai Star Rail, we meet Castorice alongside some Chrysos Heirs upon landing on Amphoreus. She played a not-so-small part in the first part of the Amphoreus story. Her involvement and importance to the story in the future can only be expected to grow.
When will Castorice be playable in Honkai Star Rail?
Castorice becomes playable on Honkai Star Rail version 3.2, alongside Anaxa. HSR 3.2 is scheduled for April 9, 2025.
Castorice leaks - skills and kit
Note that the information below about Castorice's skills and kit are leaks and may not represent her final version.
Talent - Desolation That Traverses Her Palms
This Talent is why many see Castorice as gamebreaking, or at the very least, overpowered.
Stamen Nova
- The maximum value 100 times the sum of all characters' levels on the battlefield.
- Max value of 3200 if all characters are max level.
- Castorice gains 1 point of Stamen Nova per HP lost by all allies.
- When Stamen Nova reaches the maximum, Castorice can use her Ultimate.
- While Dead Dragon is on the field, Stamen Nova cannot be gained. Instead, allies losing HP will restore the Dead Dragon's HP by an equal amount.
This Talent also increases the DMG dealt by Castorice and her memosprite, Dead Dragon.
Sanctuary of the Lunar Cocoon
After obtaining Castorice or when Castorice is in the current team, receive the following effect:
- When an ally character gets killed, all allies that died in this action enter the "Lunar Cocoon" state.
- While in "Lunar Cocoon," the characters' downed state becomes delayed and they can take 1 action normally.
- After their action, if they receive healing or Shielding before their next turn, "Lunar Cocoon" is removed and their death is prevented.
- Otherwise, they will be downed immediately.
- Only triggers once per battle.
Note that if your account has Castorice, she does not need to be in your party for Sanctuary of the Lunar Cocoon to activate.
Castorice Combat Skills
Basic ATK - Lament Is the Dead Sea's Ripple (Single Target)
Deal Quantum DMG based on Castorice's Max HP to one enemy.
Skill - Silence Is the Butterfly's Caress (Blast)
Consume a percentage of all allies' current HP. Deal Quantum DMG to one enemy, and slightly less to adjacent enemies, both based on Castorice's Max HP.
If HP is insufficient, reduce HP to 1 instead.
If Dead Dragon is on the battlefield, this skill becomes "Skeleclaw, the Doomdrake's Embrace."
Enhanced Skill - Skeleclaw, the Doomdrake's Embrace (AoE)
Consume a percentage of all allies' (excluding Dead Dragon) current HP. Castorice and Dead Dragon launch a Joint ATK against enemies dealing Quantum DMG based on Castorice's Max HP.
Ultimate - Death's Roar Becomes Renascence's Bell (Summon)
Summon the Dead Dragon memosprite and advance its action. The memosprite has a set Max HP, based on the "Stamen Nova" count.

Technique - Wail, the Prelude to Demise

Dead Dragon memosprite skills
Memosprite Skill - Rend The Realm Beneath (AoE)

Memosprite Skill - Dimscorch Breath (AoE)
Consume a percentage of Dead Dragon's Max HP (or set to 1, if insufficient) and deal Quantum DMG to all enemies based on Castorice's max HP.
Repeated use of this skill will enhance it, lasting until the Dead Dragon disappears.
When HP is less than or equal to the consumed HP, trigger "Ebon Wings Over Scorched Ruins."
Memosprite Talents
- Moon-Shelled Vessel - While Dead Dragon is on the field, allies cannot be downed and will instead live with 1 HP. Dead Dragon will bear the DMG received at a multiplied rate, instead.
- Desolation Broken By Bellows - When Dead Dragon is summoned, decrease DMG dealt by all allies.
- Ebon Wings Over Scorched Ruins - Deal multiple instances of Quantum DMG based on Castorice's max HP to one random enemy unit when the Dead Dragon disappears.
