Highguard skins and how to unlock them

Ahead of the Highguard release date, esports.gg had the chance to check out the game. During this playtest, we discovered that the eight playable wardens can change their outfits. Read on for a first look at the different Highguard skins and how to unlock some free ones.

In Highguard, each warden has a common default outfit plus some colorways that they can unlock via an in-game currency. They can also add rarer skins such as the legendary Lionheart Redmane and Stonefang Redmane to their collection. Below is a closer look at the different Highguard outfits for Redmane himself plus Atticus, Condor, Kai, Mara, Scarlet, Slade, and Una.

To unlock some free skins, all players have to do is play the game. Wildlight Entertainment, the developer behind the title, stated that everyone gets a free warchest at launch. This warchest contains 44 items, including 11 legendary skins and emotes for wardens, mounts, and weapons.

Wildlight Entertainment also stated that warchests never expire, and players can purchase them permanently. All of the items purely cosmetic as well, which means they have no effect on gameplay.

In terms of other at-launch content of interest, Highguard features five maps, six unique bases, three mount types, 10 weapons, three raid tools, 11 weapon or raid tool mods, and 10 additional lootable items such as armor, amulets, and saddles.
