Here’s everything you need to know about Sethos’ talents, constellations, ascension materials, and more.
Got your Sethos and want to know how to make the most of it? Check out Sethos' skills, best weapons, teammates, and build here. He's a 4-star Electro Bow character added in Genshin Impact version 4.7.
Unlike other 4-star Electro Bow characters Fischl or Kujou Sara, he wants a lot of time on-field to deal the most damage. His kit runs deep and requires some management of his Elemental Energy, but learning his intricacies is rewarding.
Sethos Skills
Sethos is a DPS character and has a mechanic revolving around his Energy.
- Normal Attack: Fires up to three consecutive shots with his bow. Holding the button results in a more precise aimed shot with increased damage.
- Charged Attack: Accumulates Electro energy on the arrowhead, granting different effects based on the charge level:
- Charge Level 1: Discharges an arrow infused with lightning, dealing Electro damage.
- Charge Level 2: Unleashes a Shadowpiercing Shot, which pierces enemies and deals Electro damage along its path.
- Elemental Skill: Ancient Rite: The Thundering Sands: Sethos deals AoE Electro DMG and retreats quickly. If this skill triggers Electro reactions, Sethos recovers Elemental Energy.
- Elemental Burst - Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer: Transforms normal attacks into enemy-piercing Dusk Bolts, dealing Electro damage to opponents in their path. Damage is increased based on Sethos' Elemental Mastery, and the damage dealt by Dusk Bolts is considered charged attack damage.
Passive Abilities
Sethos' passive skills further enhance his capabilities. His Utility Passive also makes it easy to locate Local Specialties in Sumeru.
- Black Kite's Enigma: Makes Aimed Shots fire up to 0.3s faster by consuming up to 20 energy.
- The Sand King's Boon: Grants an additive damage bonus to special Aimed Shots based on 700% of his Elemental Mastery, lasting for 15 seconds after using four special Aimed Shots or for 5 seconds since the last special Aimed Shot.
- Thoth's Revelation: Reveals nearby Sumeru local specialties on the mini-map.
Constellations
Sethos' constellations offer significant boosts to his performance.
- Sealed Shrine's Spiritsong: Increases the Crit Rate of Shadowpiercing Shots by 15%.
- Papyrus Scripture of Silent Secrets: Grants a 15% Electro DMG Bonus for 10 seconds when consuming Elemental Energy through Aimed Shots.
- Ode to the Moonrise Sage: Increases the level of Normal Attack by 3.
- Beneficent Plumage: When a Shadowpiercing Shot or Dusk Bolt strikes two or more opponents, all nearby party members receive an 80 Elemental Mastery boost for 10 seconds.
- Record of the Desolate God's Burning Sands: Increases the level of Elemental Burst by 3.
- Pylon of the Sojourning Sun Temple: Returns the Elemental Energy consumed by the Passive Talent "Black Kite's Enigma" after a Shadowpiercing Shot strikes an opponent, enabling an additional Charged attack in the combo.
Ascension Materials
To maximize Sethos' potential, you'll need to gather the following ascension materials:
- Vajrada Amethyst: Pieces can be obtained from Electro bosses like the Electro Regisvine and Millennial Pearl Seahorse.
- Faded Red Satin, Trimmed Red Silk, and Rich Red Brocade: Items found from Eremite enemies in Sumeru.
- Cloudseam Scales: Can be obtained by defeating Solitary Suanni in Chenyu Vale in Liyue.

Sethos - Best Weapons
Choosing the right weapon for Sethos can amplify his power:
- Hunter's Path: Ideal for Quicken teams due to its crit rate sub-stat, increased elemental damage, and enhanced charged attack damage based on elemental mastery.
- Slingshot: Boosts Sethos' crit rate and overall damage. It's also accessible as a 3-star weapon.
Sethos - Best Teammates
Due to Sethos' dependence on his Energy, having another Electro on the team is advisable. Fischl is a good accessible choice as she does not demand much on-field time, giving Sethos more time to shine. For Quicken teams, the same tenet is applicable: you want an efficient Dendro applier that can do it quick.
Support characters can be the buffers or sustain in this team. If you choose a buffer character, Kuki Shinobu can be placed as the Electro character for sustain.
- Electro character: To activate the Electro Resonance and make sure Sethos is receiving enough Energy.
- Dendro character: Nahida, Kirara, or Yaoyao - basically anybody that can easily apply Dendro so Sethos can proc Quicken.
- Support: Sucrose, Zhongli, Kazuha are all viable options.
