Kachina is one of the newest characters players will meet once Natlan arrives in Genshin Impact. Here is what we know so far about Kachina’s kit, skills, Talents, Constellations, and more.

Genshin Impact: Kachina Kit
Kachina is a 4-star Geo Polearm character who scales off of DEF. She is similar to Yun Jin in that regard, but unlike Yun Jin, Kachina is a DPS character. She’s also one of the two new characters in Natlan who has a mount mechanic in the game.
She is accompanied by her drill, Turbo Twirly, who is the key to her Elemental Skill and Burst.
Do note that the details of Kachina’s kit below did not come from official sources, and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Kachina Combat Skills
Kachina’s gameplay revolves around her Elemental Skill and Turbo Twirly. Her skill also implements the Natlan-specific Nightsoul mechanic.
Normal Attack: Cragbiter
Kachina with her Polearm a few times, the standard for all Polearm users. Her Charged Attack and Plunging Attack are also the usual.
Elemental Skill: Go, Go Turbo Twirly!
Using Kachina’s Elemental Skill will summon her drill Turbo Twirly. Upon using it, Kachina gains 60 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. Pressing and Holding the Elemental Skill will perform different actions.
- Pressing the Elemental Skill Button will summon Turbo Twirly, which will deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Geo DMG at intervals.
- Holding and releasing the Elemental Skill button will have Kachina riding on Turbo Twirly, allowing her to move and climb walls quickly. Turbo Twirly will slam the ground whenever the player presses the Normal Attack button, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Geo DMG to nearby enemies.
When Turbo Twirly is summoned, her Elemental Skill will change into a button for mounting and dismounting Turbo Twirly. Turbo Twirly will stay on the field until the Nightsoul Blessing state ends.
Turbo Twirly is also considered a Geo Construct, and only 1 of them is allowed on the field at a time.
Elemental Burst: Time to Get Serious!
Kachina strikes the ground and deals AoE Geo DMG. Additionally, she will create a Turbo Drill field, which increases Turbo Twirly’s attack AOE, as well as its movement speed when Kachina is on it.
If Turbo Twirly is already on the field when Kachina uses her Elemental Burst, she will summon Turbo Twirly to her side.

Kachina Passive Talents
She has four passives, one more than the usual in Genshin Impact. Two of her passives are for exploration and deals with Natlan’s “Phlogiston” mechanics, while her other two passives increase her combat strength.
Boon of Crystal Flame
While Kachina is in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics, she will regain 20 Stamina whenever she interacts with some harvestable items. Additionally, Natlan specialties will appear on the mini-map when Kachina is in the active team.
Night Realm’s Gift: Heart of Unity
This passive talent has multiple parts:
- When her Nightosul points reach 0, she will start consuming Phlogiston to keep her Nightsoul’s Blessing activated.
- She will gain 30 Nightsoul points, enter the Nightsoul's Blessing state, and ride Turbo Twirly when switching to her from a character who is sprinting, swimming, or in a "movement mode" from certain Talents.
- She will consume less stamina whenever she climbs walls while on Turbo Twirly
Mountain Echoes
Whenever a party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Kachina’s Geo DMG increases.
The Weight of Stone
Turbo Twirly’s DMG increases based on Kachina’s DEF.
Kachina Constellations
Kachina’s Constellations all strengthen Turbo Twirly, giving it more damage and utility.
- Shards Are Gems Too - Absorb Elemental Shards from Crystallize reactions whenever she mounts or dismounts Turbo Twirly. She also regenerates Energy whenever a party member picks a Shard up.
- Never Leave Home Without… Turbo Twirly - Regain Nightsoul points whenever she uses her Elemental Burst. She will also summon a Turbo Twirly if one isn’t currently on the field.
- Improved Stabilizer - Increase level and level cap of Elemental Skill.
- More Foes, More Caution - Gain a DEF boost that scales off of the number of enemies present inside the Turbo Drill Field whenever she uses her Elemental Burst.
- All I’ve Collected Till Now - Increase level and level cap of Elemental Burst.
- This Time, I’ve Gotta Win - Whenever the active character’s shield is destroyed or replaced, she deals AoE Geo DMG.
Kachina becomes playable in the Genshin Impact Version 5.0 update, joining the 4-star roster afterwards. The update is scheduled for August 28, 2024.
