SOL3 Phase Level is one of the leveling systems available in the RPG Wuthering Waves.
While it's fine to neglect some parts of Wuthering Waves, it's important to prioritize increasing your SOL3 Level. Here's everything you need to know about it and how to level up.
What is SOL3 Phase Level in Wuthering Waves?
SOL3 Level is the number that sets how powerful the enemies you find across Solaris-3 in Wuthering Waves are and also determines how great item drops are.
SOL3 Level is linked to Union Levels and therefore will automatically increase every 10 Union Levels you get. Every 20 Union Levels you climb (20, 40, 60, for example), though, the game will require you to complete a SOL3 Phase Ascension quest.
While having a higher SOL3 Level does make Wuthering Waves more difficult, some versions of bosses are locked behind a certain SOL3 Level, meaning you'll need to get there to be able to beat them and reap the rewards.
This leveling system is essentially the same as the World Level and Equilibrium Level in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Hail, respectively. This means that you won't be able to join their world in case you have a lower SOL3 Level. However, your higher-ranked friends can join your world.

How to increase SOL 3 Phase Level in Wuthering Waves?
To increase your SOL3 Level, prioritize the following:
- Completing main storyline quests is the fastest way to increase your SOL3 Level as they'll more than often reward you with a lot of Union Experience.
- Besides quests, focus on completing daily activities every day you play Wuthering Waves. These daily challenges, however, only become available after you complete the Ominous Star quest in Chapter 1, Act 3.
- Doing Boss Challenges also provide a ton of Union Experience after you beat them both the first and other times, in case you fight them again. To participate in Boss Challenges, you must complete the Ominous Star quest.
How to decrease SOL3 Phase Level in Wuthering Waves?
To decrease your SOL3 Level, this is what you need to do:
- Access the Terminal.
- Click the SOL3 Phase "i" button.
- The game will allow you to lower your SOL3 Level, but this can only be done once every 12 hours.
If you're having a hard time in Wuthering Waves, we advise you to lower your SOL3 Level so you come across weaker opponents until you feel strong enough to go to your original SOL3 Level.
