Is Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection crossplay?

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is guaranteed to garner a large player base, but can they all game together through crossplay?

Star Wars fans everywhere jumped for joy with the reveal of the Battlefront Classic Collection. There's some unfortunate news, however. You're confined to playing with just your platform's players. Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has no true crossplay option.

Battlefront Classic Collection includes massive battles with support for up to 64 players. You'll be able to recreate some of the franchise's most iconic moments. But only with those on the same platform, whether that's Steam, Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox.

Cross-generational gameplay is available, just not crossplay from platform to platform. Essentially, that means if you are playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can play with others on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, respectively.

Those of you purchasing Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection for PC via Steam, well, you're stuck without any crossplay at all. You must play with those who also purchased the game through the Steam. It's that simple.

The same goes for the Nintendo Switch. That one specifically has players worried that the game is dead upon arrival. Thankfully, there is the option to play with bots in Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection to avoid the lack of crossplay.

Fill your games with computer-controlled enemies if you have to and you'll never run out of things to do. And just keep your fingers crossed that Aspry is able to add crossplay later on in the game's life cycle, so everyone can venture to a galaxy far, far away together.
