Is Elden Ring cross-platform?

Is Elden Ring, the massive RPG, cross-platform compatible?

Traveling across the vast world of Elden Ring is an adventure like no other. Its landscape, wonders, monsters and more are what make the game so enticing and beautiful, captivating gamers around the world. But is Elden Ring cross-platform? Or do you have to play with people on the same console?

Here is the answer to whether or not Elden Ring, the popular RPG, is cross-platform.

In short, no, Elden Ring is not cross-platform. This means that those looking to play with friends will have to make sure they have the same system as themselves. This means that PS5 players will not be able to play with Xbox players and so forth.

Sadly, a game as large as Elden Ring utilizing cross-play would be amazing, but at the time being, we are stuck with multiplayer only being between the same consoles. Still, though, if you know people who play the game with the same platform as you, then co-op multiplayer is available within Elden Ring.

So what is co-op? This game mode allows for players to explore the world alongside each other, fighting enemies, completing missions and more as a team. Video games are always more fun with a friend, and Elden Ring does not deprive us of that factor.

But still, it would be great to see the game allow cross-play between different platforms.

What platforms is Elden Ring available on?

As of now, Elden Ring is only playable on PS5, Xbox and PC. Mobile and Nintendo Switch do not support the game, as it is most definitely too large for their systems to handle.

With it being Game of the Year in 2022, Elden Ring has set a heavy precedent for the future of RPGs. Its immersive world, massive story and captivating characters keep the game quite interesting. You may feel you have completed everything within the world, but then a new quest or unexplored area will pop up, pushing you to continue exploring.

Hopefully, in the future, we can see Edlen Ring become cross-platform.
