Infinity Blade now has a PC port: Here’s how to play it

Enjoy some nostalgia and take down the God King.

Infinity Blade is arguably one of the most influential games of all time, but it’s never been available on console, PC, or any other platform besides mobile. With the series’ removal from app stores in 2018, the game was effectively unplayable aside from old phones that had it installed. However, thanks to the hard work of a handful of fans, gamers can now play the classic mobile game on PC.

Here’s information on the new Infinity Blade PC port and how to download and play it yourself.

How to download and play Infinity Blade on PC

To play Infinity Blade on PC, follow these steps.

  1. Download the port from Archive.com as a torrent or ZIP
  2. Extract the file
  3. Navigate to the Binaries folder
  4. Click the Launcher.exe file
  5. If Windows stops the launch, select More Info and hit Run Anyway
  6. Adjust your settings on the launcher
  7. Hit Play

The modder behind the project, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has also updated Infinity Blade to take advantage of modern PC hardware. The game’s lighting is completely overhauled, making fights that much more dramatic. The project also includes upscaled textures, which practically makes the port a complete remaster. The gameplay itself is still the same, which is probably just what players want.

Players also have access to several developer tools in the fan-made Infinity Blade PC port. Users can unlock the camera, hide the HUD, adjust FOV, and more.

However, if you’re expecting the exact same challenge that you experienced 14 years ago, you may be disappointed. The switch from clunky mobile controls to PC means that blocks, parries, and combos are much easier to pull off, and the game’s reaction-based combat is much easier. Expect to tear through most of the early fights.
