Best things to do to raise your light level fast in Destiny 2

So much of the beauty of Destiny 2 is the ability for players to navigate through the game in their own way. This means that diehard PvP players can find ways to raise their rank almost solely from Crucible, Trials of Osiris, or Gambit, for example.

However, there are some more optimal ways for players to raise their light level faster than others, especially for those with optimized builds (like these for Titan, Hunter, and Warlock) who are willing to head into higher light-level activities like Nightfall or Replay Missions. And, thanks to the Fireteam Finder tool Destiny has implemented, it's easier than ever to find other Guardians to link up with.

So, while you have a lot of freedom in how you gradually raise your light into the 2,000's, here are some of the activities we would suggest trying out first.

Tips on how to raise your light level based on your current rank

  • Light level 1930-1950: Complete Ritual and Pale Heart Pathfinders each week
  • Light level 1950-1970: Complete the campaign on Legendary difficulty
  • Light level 1970-1990: Push higher level Nightfalls, attempt the Salvation's Edge raid, replay story missions
  • Light level 1990-2000: Complete Grandmaster Excision mission and farm other Grandmaster-level activities

Hopefully, by the time you are through with the campaign, you should be able to begin tackling these activities, getting better gear, and feeling stronger and stronger with your build in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

So, get out there and get ready for all of the late-game content Destiny 2 has to offer! And, in the meantime, stay tuned here at esports.gg for more Destiny 2 news and updates!
