Despite a skeptical reveal, Destiny Rising has been received positively by the Destiny community, especially after its closed alpha test, with most players praising its accessible nature, short but engaging activities, and unique gameplay and quality-of-life features that many hoped would be in Destiny 2.

Destiny Rising’s closed beta will start on Thursday, May 29, 2025. We don’t know its exact timings, though given its closed alpha schedule, you could expect it to commence at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT. It’s worth noting that the Destiny Rising closed alpha ran for over a month. As such, you could expect a similar runtime for its upcoming closed beta test.

The upcoming closed beta test will be available exclusively on Android devices via Google Play. If you’re an iOS user, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on this new Destiny experience.
