Is the new Dune MMO coming to PlayStation and Xbox at launch?
Dune: Awakening is arguably the biggest MMO to release in 2025, and the hype behind it is already building to massive numbers. The game just completed a successful beta test ahead of its launch in early June, and players who participated are waiting on pins and needles to regain access to Arrakis. Unfortunately, the beta test was only available on PC, which has some players concerned that Dune: Awakening won't be available on either PlayStation or Xbox.

Dune: Awakening launches on June 10, but you can gain early access starting on June 5 by following some specific steps. Unfortunately, on either of those dates, the game will only be playable on PC. Dune: Awakening will not be coming to PlayStation 4 +5 or Xbox One + Series X|S when it launches in June.
This has been the plan for the MMO since it was originally announced. However, hope is not lost for console players, as the developers at Funcom have continually stated that a PlayStation and Xbox release is coming shortly after the game launches on PC. This release will only be for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so last-generation players are out of luck until they can upgrade or play on PC.
It's currently unknown when the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Dune: Awakening will launch. All the developers have said thus far is that the versions are coming sometime after the official release date.
What we do know about the console versions is that the developers designed Dune: Awakening to be played on a controller. While the MMO can fully be played on mouse and keyboard, the preferred input for a majority of PC players, console players don't have to worry about finicky controller support whenever the PlayStation and Xbox versions are released.
