Is FragPunk crossplay? Answered

FragPunk has finally launched after much anticipation, thanks to the sparkling record recently garnered by developer NetEase Games, who also develops Marvel Rivals. This time, NetEase is sinking its teeth into the tactical shooter market, but heroes still play a role in the game. With FragPunk out now, you're likely trying to join up with a group of friends to take on the new game together, but before you do that, you might need to know if crossplay is supported.

Crossplay has almost become an expected feature in multiplayer games today, but some players were nervous when it came to FragPunk. NetEase Games has disabled crossplay in ranked playlists in its other game, Marvel Rivals, so we didn't know if the developer would follow a similar route with its new shooter.

Fortunately, FragPunk fully supports crossplay at launch on all platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. This means you can party up and play with any friend you want who also has FragPunk downloaded. Considering the game is free-to-play, you could have plenty of friends to choose from if they're fans of tactical shooters.

However, if you're playing FragPunk on PC on launch day, March 6, you'll have to wait before you can invite any of your friends on console. NetEase Games announced that the PS5 and Xbox versions of FragPunk are delayed until March 7 due to unforeseen technical difficulties. While this isn't a huge delay, it's worth noting if you were expecting your console friends to be online right as the game drops.

After March 7 comes and FragPunk is available worldwide on all platforms, you can party up with any friend on the game. Crossplay is enabled by default in FragPunk, but you can also turn the setting off if you just want to stick with players on your platform. This is done through the game settings, and you can enable or disable the feature at any time outside of a match.
