Lancers are the characters you choose to play as in FragPunk. They have their own unique appearances and abilities, so you'll want to get familiar with at least one to call your main. If you're having trouble, don't worry, as we've got the best Lancers in FragPunk for you.

We'll rank the top five in the game, and you can decide which is your favorite one to take into the rule-breaking battleground that is FragPunk's Shard Clash mode.

There are 13 Lancers in FragPunk at launch. More are expected as the game's life continues. When that happens, if one of the characters outshines those on this list, we'll update and add them. Until that point, though, here are the five best Lancers in FragPunk, ranked from five to one.

Chum is a wild robot with a fishing outfit. His best friend, Chomper, is one of his abilities. Place him down to patrol the area and chase enemies. Or feed him your other abilities, Explosive Bait and Smoke Bait. These see him chase an enemy and explode or leave a trail of smoke behind him, respectively.

Of course, you can use the bait on their own to set an explosive trap or simply throw a smoke bomb to cover your movement. He's an odd fella, but his kit is fun to use and is known for catching enemy players off guard.

Broker is one of the main characters you'll see in the game's advertising. And for good reason. He's probably the best FragPunk Lancer for beginners. On both attack and defense, Broker can get the job done.

He's got his Cherry Bomb traps that explode on contact. There's his Smokestack Lightning that generates a long smoke wall. And then his Goddard's Vengeance rocket launcher. The guy's got a little bit of everything for you to play with.

Corona is a VALORANT player's dream if they're coming over to FragPunk. Did you make the switch and love to play as Jett or even the new (as of writing) Agent Waylay? Then Corona is hands down the best FragPunk Lancer for you to use.

He can turn himself into a flashbang and dash out to blind enemies without warning. He's got a molly of sorts that damages enemies, but gives himself damage reduction and a speed boost while inside. This fiery character is the epitome of an entry fragger.

Hollowpoint is absolutely an easy to learn, but difficult to master Lancer. She's got a trap that sticks to enemies and reveals them in the form of Paparazzi. She also comes with a smokescreen that moves forward, after she shoots it out of a finger gun like a total badass.

Did we mention that also reveals enemies caught by it? And lastly, her Meteora is a sniper rifle ability. The railgun charges up and does one-shot damage to the body. Put an SMG in your back pocket if you play her for the perfect balance of long range and short range weaponry.

Pathojen just straight up isn't fair. Especially with her ability to heal allies, and herself in the game's unique overtime period. She's immune to poison from other Pathojen players, has walls that can block locations or cover full doorways, and her poison trap.

The poison trap is known as Killer Queen and has two ways of operating. It is activated when an enemy crosses its area of reach or you can trigger it manually to preemptively stop a push. She's a defensive nightmare with great post-plant capabilities if the rest of the team is ready to take a site.
