This guide will help you find the ODM Gear item in Fortnite.

ODM Gear is the newest item in Fortnite as of patch v24.20, courtesy of the Attack on Titan collaboration. The abbreviation ODM stands for Omni-Directional Mobility, making this a helpful mobility tool. However, unlike previous items such as the Spider-Man Web-Shooters, the ODM Gear doubles as a weapon with built-in blades. Today, we’ll explain where you can find the ODM Gear in Fortnite and how to use the new Attack on Titan gadget.

Each one contains ODM Gear and a pair of Thunder Spears. It’s unclear whether the Scout Regiment Footlockers spawn 100% of the time, but the spots on the map above are your best bet. Next, we’ll explain how you can use the item in Fortnite.

The ODM Gear is best utilized as a mobility item, similar to the Spider-Man Web-Shooters from Fortnite Chapter 3 and Grapple Gloves. Aim at a nearby object and press the R2 button on your controller or right-click your mouse to use the item as a grappler.

You can chain several grapples with the ODM Gear, but there is a brief cooldown period after several uses. In addition to the grappling function, you can float in midair by holding the L2 button on your controller or left-click on your mouse. While floating, you can lunge downward and attack an opponent by pressing L2 or left-click again.

Beyond the conventional ODM Gear uses, the item is imperative in helping you unlock Eren Jaeger. Many associated Quests require the ODM Gear, so familiarizing yourself with it is crucial.
