Anakin Skywalker, known as Darth Vader, has returned in Fortnite's latest Star Wars update. Although you can no longer acquire that Battle Pass-exclusive Vader skin, you can still find and battle him in-game. This guide explains where Darth Vader is in Fortnite and offers tips and tricks for defeating him.
Where is Darth Vader in Fortnite?
You can find Darth Vader on the island on the north side of the map, named Piney Lane. This location, marked on the map above, is where you can see the Sith Lord's Lambda-class Imperial Shuttle docked. He spawns alongside two Imperial Stormtroopers and will attack if you get too close.
The Darth Vader Fortnite NPC is dangerous in many aspects. He uses his signature red Lightsaber and various force powers to eliminate you. Additionally, he has 1,400 health overall, so persistence is key if you'd like to acquire his Lightsaber.
How to defeat Vader and obtain his Lightsaber
Taking down the Sith Lord is easier said than done. His HP is an issue, but we were able to overcome him using only Chewbacca's Bowcaster. To defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite, we landed in front of the Imperial Shuttle, looted the Imperial Chest, and relentlessly attacked him with the Bowcaster.
You can charge the Bowcaster or tap-fire it; we used a mixture of both. A wise approach is to have plenty of building materials in Battle Royale mode or cover in Zero Build.
Ultimately, we took down Darth Vader and acquired the Fortnite version of his Lightsaber. Although this weapon is not as good as it once was, it's still a fun novelty to run with, and it pairs well with any skin.
Nowadays, in Fortnite, you can run around with a Lightsaber as Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender or Billie Eilish, so yeah.
