The MK-7 is back: How to get the weapon in Fortnite

The MK-Alpha Assault Rifle is back! Here is where you can locate the weapon and how to use it.

Fortnite made a drastic change in their weapons lineup yesterday. The Battle Royale removed the Red-Eye Assault Rifle, replacing it with the infamous MK-Alpha, also known as the MK-7. This weapon is known for shredding players from up close to even a decent distance away.

Here is where to find the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle and how to use the weapon.

Locating the MK-7 is fairly easy. In fact, it is just like all the other loot on the island. The weapon is randomly generated alongside all the other loot, meaning you can find it just about anywhere.

This means in floor loot, chests and more.

There are still a few other places you can locate the item though.

Mk-Alpha Assault Rifle Fortnite Locations:

  • Floor loot
  • Chest loot
  • Combat Caches

The Combat Caches are often overlooked, but give players some of the best loot in the game, including the MK-7.

If you are lucky enough to claim a Combat Cache when they first appear, you will be able to grab yourself an Epic MK-Alpha, which is easily one of the best guns in the game. The precision of the weapon's aim has made it a favorite amongst competitive and casual players.

How to use the MK-7

Using it is simple, as it is just like any other weapon in Fortnite. The one part that is different than most of the other rapid-firing Assault Rifles in the game, is that it does have a red-dot scope. This allows for better aim when aiming-down-sites, but can often make it difficult to hit your shots while hip-firing.

Regardless, the gun still packs a heavy punch and is perfect for players looking to eliminate their opponents in a fast manner.
