Fortnite's ongoing partnership with Disney will soon enter a new chapter with a season revolving around the Star Wars franchise. In addition to new map locations, skins, and in-game items, Epic Games has enabled the possibility to link your MyDisney and Fortnite accounts together.
This guide will explain all the steps you must take to connect these two accounts, which can currently earn you a free in-game Stormtrooper skin and potentially more in the future.
How to link your MyDisney and Epic Games/Fortnite accounts together
This process requires just seven steps and is similar to connecting your Epic Games account to other services, such as PlayStation, Xbox, and LEGO, among others. You can visit the official website for more details; the guide below is also a helpful resource.
Step-by-step guide for linking MyDisney to your Epic Games/Fortnite account
- Navigate to the Fortnite website
- Click the 'Apps & Accounts' tab on the left side of the screen
- Locate the MyDisney section and click 'Connect'
- Select 'Connect Account' on the next window that appears

- Type your MyDisney email and password on the next screen
- Click 'Link Accounts' to finalize the account connection
- You should now see the MyDisney connection active in your Epic Games/Fortnite account
If you see the 'Remove' box under 'MyDisney Account,' it means you have successfully followed the steps we outlined above.
What is the MyDisney app, and what is the point of this?
There is currently only one benefit to connecting your My Disney account to your Fortnite account. Those who follow the steps above to completion will receive the First Order Stormtrooper skin for free. As indicated in the image above, you have until Aug. 31 to claim the Outfit.
