Who is Raiden from Metal Gear? And how does someone get him in Fortnite?
Back in January of 2024, Fortnite did a collaboration with the popular Metal Gear franchise, bringing Raiden (a Metal Gear character) to Fortnite. The popular skin has two variations for players to play as and has only been seen in the Item Shop eight times.
So, how does someone get Raiden from Metal Gear in Fortnite?

Acquiring the Metal Gear Raiden skin in Fortnite is not too hard, but you must watch out for it in the Item Shop. Luckily, at the time of writing this, the popular skin is in the shop (July 10, 2024).
Raiden is a Gaming Legends Series outfit, meaning it is quite rare and costs a bit more than other skins.
Raiden skin cost:
- 1,800 V-Bucks
The skin's two variations consist of a version with the character wearing a mask and a version without the mask. There is also the Sneaking bundle that Raiden is a part of, which includes various cosmetics, including a Snake skin.

Raiden is one of the protagonists in the Metal Gear franchise. First introduced in the 2001 title, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Raiden quickly became a favorite amongst fans.
Being raised from young as a soldier, Raiden is quite the fighter. His stealthy actions and abilities make him stand out amongst other characters within the Metal Gear series.
The character goes by many names. Some of those names include Jack the Ripper, White Devil and more. As you can tell by these names, Raiden is a character many enemies fear in the Metal Gear series.
