When will Fortnite’s Disney update come to the game?

With Disney investing $1.5 billion into Fortnite earlier this year, many are excited for everything Disney, Marvel and more to come to the Battle Royale. With the Forntite x Disney expo just happening, and many new skins and more being announced, when will the massive Fortnite x Disney update come to the game?

So, when will Fortnite's Disney update be released in the game?

  • Late 2026

Unfortunately, those excited for the massive Fortnite x Disney update will have to wait two years. Yep, the $1.5 billion investment put into the popular Battle Royale won't actually have anything to show for it until late 2026.

Well, we do know that Fortnite will still be releasing Marvel content, which is technically Disney. Regardless, though, those waiting for the giant Creative Disney hub, which we still know little about, will have to wait until the end of 2026.

What is the Fortnite x Disney update?

While we do know a bit about what is set to come with Fortnite's Disney update, we do not know everything. When the announcement was first revealed months ago, Fortnite shared a photo of a massive world that consisted of many different Disney aspects.

It is almost as if Disney is setting up a new Disney World in Fortnite, further pushing the future of the Metaverse.

In the photo, we see an island that has Marvel, ESPN and more. There is even an island with Lilo and Stitch in the photo, showing that Disney is involving all eras of its history.

We also know, as announced at the recent D23 expo, that Fortnite will be including Disney villains in the game. This will mark the first appearance of Disney characters in Fortnite, aside from Marvel, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Whether or not the Disney Villian skins will be released in 2026 with the big update is unknown. The skins could always come earlier.
