What’s new in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1?

There’s a lot of new stuff in the new Fortnite Chapter. With new POIs and locations that players have already adventured through in the past few days, the new season still has content yet to be released. The new content mostly pertains to new game modes, and a few in collaboration with other companies and game titles.

There are also new weapons, although more details will be available as soon as the maintenance ends. And yesterday, Epic Games announced three new game modes

The Fortnite Festival, in particular, is of keen interest as it signals Epic Games’ old strategy of hosting events within Fortnite. But there’s a twist, as it seems to be focusing more on music concerts. To kick things off, we have Fortnite x The Weeknd, which will go live on December 9.

The Rocket Racing is also supposedly a new game mode that arrives in Fortnite. Developed by Psyonix Studios, it has an extremely close resemblance to Rocket League. The exact details about the new game will be unveiled during The Game Awards on December 8, 2023. Rocket League recently kickstarted its Season 13 which features new Arena makeovers, Play Menu changes as well as a ban on in-game item trading.
