Fortnite: How to get the Color Splash Jellie skin for free

A new promotion goes live in just a few weeks for Fortnite players looking to redeem V-Bucks. Beginning on Jan. 13, those who use a V-Bucks card to add funds to their Fortnite account will receive a new variation of an established skin at no additional charge. There aren't many combinations better than Fortnite and free, so here is how you can grab the Color Splash Jellie skin when this promotion goes live.

You may want to save one or two V-Bucks cards you received for the holidays to capitalize on this opportunity. Once Jan. 13 arrives, you can redeem your V-Bucks card to unlock the Color Splash Jellie skin pictured above. This promotion should work with V-Bucks cards of any denomination, from 1,000 to 13,500.

Although it's unknown when you will receive the skin, it's safe to assume it should arrive in your locker before the promotion ends on Feb. 16. Epic Games did not specify whether the Color Splash Jellie skin will be available in the Item Shop later. Still, it does have a LEGO variant that can be enjoyed in various game modes.

Redeeming a V-Bucks card is pretty straightforward. You must log in to your Epic Games account on a PC or mobile device. Once there, head to this website to input your V-Bucks code and add it to your account. If done correctly, you can open Fortnite and check to ensure your account has the updated V-Bucks amount.

However, as mentioned above, you should wait until Jan. 13 or at least purchase one card after that date to get the Color Splash Jellie skin. It may not be the ultimate Fortnite Outfit, but free is free, and you can't compete with that.
