You can now use the Ninja Turtles weapons in Fortnite!

Fortnite's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) "Cowabunga" event has finally arrived after a week of teasers. Although players were unsure what to expect, Epic Games delivered a package including a separate TMNT Battle Pass with rewards and various in-game items. One of the newest inclusions is four new Fortnite TMNT Mythics based on the iconic heroes in a half shell.

Today, we'll explain everything you need to know about Fortnite's newest Mythic items, including where to find them and how they work.

New Fortnite TMNT Mythics explained

A Fortnite x Ninja Turtles event would not be complete without the characters' iconic weapons. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello each have representation in-game, allowing players to wield these tools of destruction. Although the four weapons do not offer unique abilities, you can choose your favorite and take down your enemies.

Here is a list of all Fortnite TMNT Mythics that are currently in the game:

  • Leonardo's Katanas
  • Raphael's Sai
  • Michelangelo's Nunchaku
  • Donatello's Staff

After carefully selecting which Fortnite TMNT Mythics you'd like to use, understanding the four attacks available and how to use them will help you on the battlegrounds.

  • Attack – This is your primary attack, which you can trigger using the primary fire button.
  • Air Attack – While in the air, click your primary fire button, and you will perform a midair attack on your enemy.
  • Dash Attack – Your secondary fire button will perform a lunging attack with the weapon.
  • Double Jump – Lastly, each weapon grants a Double Jump.

You can use each weapon three times before entering a ten-second cooldown period.

Where to find the Ninja Turtles Mythics

These items are not limited to one per game, meaning multiple players can carry them simultaneously. There are various ways to acquire the TMNT Mythics in Fortnite, which you can find below:

  • Normal Chests
  • Supply Drops
  • Vending Machines

The Fortnite Cowabunga event concludes on February 27 at 9 a.m. ET, make sure you try them out before it's too late!
