Relentless makes its return in Destiny 2 with a new set of perks to chase!
One of the more popular weapons available from Rite of the Nine's Prophecy dungeon remaster is Relentless, which comes with some great PvP and PvE god rolls for you to collect.
Here's how to get a god roll Relentless in Destiny 2 and which perks you should watch out for!
What is the Relentless god roll in Destiny 2?
Relentless PvE god roll
Column | Perk(s) |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Extended Mag |
Trait 1 | Firefly |
Trait 2 | Hatchling |
Origin Trait, Masterwork, Weapon Mod | Gravity Well (Origin Trait) Reload Speed (Masterwork) Ammo Mod (Weapon Mod) |
Whenever we have Firefly available we've got to take it, and on Relentless it works brilliantly. The reload speed boost and a AoE Solar explosion all packaged into one perk, it's the best perk in column one.
I'm going with Hatchling in column two for mass AoE add clear, with Solar explosions and Strand Threadlings wiping out everything nearby.
You can swap Firefly with Slice or Tear in column one if you want a full Strand combination. Slice would be my preference just for the guaranteed Sever damage reduction after using a class ability.

Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Trait 1 | Keep Away |
Trait 2 | Closing Time Desperado |
Origin Trait, Masterwork, Weapon Mod | Crossing Over (Origin Trait) Range (Masterwork) Ballistics (Weapon Mod) |
Mobility isn't the name of the game with this high-impact pulse rifle, but we're going to do our best to combat that with a few solid PvP perks. Keep Away is my pick in column one for battles at range, which is ideally where you want the fight to take place.
In column two I'd go with Closing Time, which boosts range and accuracy as the weapon's magazine is emptied. This pairs beautifully with the Crossing Over Origin Trait which boosts range and handling at the top half of the magazine before we get a damage boost in the lower half — just as the Closing Time bonus kicks in.
If you aren't a fan of Closing Time, you can't go wrong with Desperado, which boosts the weapon's rate of fire after landing a kill and reloading. Headseeker makes for a good third pick if you're not so lucky!
How to get Relentless in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine
Relentless is available by completing Rite of the Nine, specifically by running the Prophecy dungeon when it's available in the rotation. You can spend Nonary Manifold at the chest next to The Emissary for randomly rolled versions of Relentless — but make sure you attune to the weapon first for the best chance at getting one!
You can't craft Relentless. You'll need to enhance the weapon and level it up to access upgraded perks. Adept (alternate shader) and Holofoil (double perks with animated special shader) can also drop from higher-difficulty clears of Prophecy in Rite of the Nine.
