No Land Beyond is rumored to be making a return as “New Land Beyond.”
There are so many Exotic weapons in the Destiny franchise, but every now and then, one rises above all others as a fan favorite. For a time after the launch of The Dark Below in 2014, No Land Beyond — a primary ammo sniper rifle — was the talk of the town.
Due to it's popularity, many expected it to be ported to Destiny 2 alongside some of the game's other Exotic weapons. Alas, after eight years and dozens of seasons, No Land Beyond is nowhere to be seen.
Until now! Dataminers in early February 2025 discovered a full lore tab, an early mockup, and even weapon traits pertaining to "New Land Beyond," a remake of the weapon in the sequel.
Here's everything we now know about the No Land Beyond "remaster" in Destiny 2, plus when we'll be able to get our hands on it!

When will New Land Beyond arrive in Destiny 2?
The exact date of New Land Beyond's arrival in Destiny 2 isn't clear yet. The BungieLeaks datamining account states New Land Beyond will be a pre-order bonus for an upcoming expansion.
This pre-order bonus is expected to be tied to Codename: Apollo, the first "season" in the new Frontiers expansion, which launches in mid-July 2025. Pre-order copies will likely open a month or two before launch, so it's possible players could have their hands on New Land Beyond as early as April.
Bungie hasn't revealed anything about a pre-order pack or pricing structure for Frontiers yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

What is New Land Beyond? Returning Destiny Exotic sniper rifle, explained
New Land Beyond is a Destiny 2 take on the classic sniper rifle No Land Beyond from the game's prequel. It was a popular Exotic among players for its unique iron sights and bolt action reload.
It's getting a revamp in Destiny 2, according to leaks. New intrinsic trait "The Master" sees its damage boosted for every precision hit "until the wielder's defeat." This stacks up to 24 times for an impressive 80% damage boost available.
You'll be able to keep the shots coming quickly thanks to secondary trait Bullseye Bolster. Landing a precision hit increases the weapon's reload speed, handling, target acquisition, and stability for a short duration. This allows you to keep reloading a shot for your next precision hit.
Unfortunately, New Land Beyond is expected to use Special ammo as it's a sniper rifle. You'll likely need plenty of reserves and ammo bricks to keep the damage buff up, and when you die, it'll be reset to zero, so you'll have to start again.
All of these details haven't been confirmed yet by Bungie. Perks, traits, or details about an Exotic Catalyst are up in the air and could change before it arrives.
