The best hip-firin’ sidearm in town in Liminal Vigil is back during Rite of the Nine.
The two-round heavy burst sidearms have become quite popular in Destiny 2 with one of the OG's, Liminal Vigil, returning in Rite of the Nine. A refreshed perk pool and a few new god rolls to chase make Liminal Vigil a must-get!

As a Stasis sidearm, the classic combo of Headstone and Rimestealer is hard to beat. Generate Stasis crystals with precision final blows through Headstone, then destroy the crystals using Rimestealer for burst AoE damage and Frost Armor.
On it's own this combo is strong but be sure to pair it with Stasis subclass fragments for a more potent build — it's great with Darkness-based Prismatic builds, too!
If you're looking for something a little more... Wild West... then go for Desperado. Reloading after a headshot kill nearly doubles the weapon's fire rate, making for faster Stasis crystal spawns and a very fun weapon to wield in PvE.

It only gets better in PvP with this version of Liminal Vigil. Lone Wolf is the column one perk of choice with boosts to aim assist, mid-air fire, and ADS if you're rolling solo or have no allies nearby.
If you're happy with the range of the weapon (ideally boosted via Masterwork and Weapon Mods), then stick with Kill Clip for a damage boost after kill. Otherwise, Rangefinder makes Liminal Vigil that much more consistent in mid-range engagements.
Be sure to hip fire first to activate Tex Balanced Stock, then aim down sights for the killing blow!
How to get Liminal Vigil in Destiny 2
You can get the new Liminal Vigil by running Spire of the Watcher in the Rite of the Nine activity pool. Be sure to focus for Liminal Vigil at The Emissary to increase the weapon drop rate!
Liminal Vigil comes in Adept (bonus perks) and Holofoil (perks plus unique shaders) at higher-difficulty clears, but you'll need to be lucky! This weapon can't be crafted but enhancing the weapon unlocks upgraded perks.
