You’d be hard-pressed finding someone who wasn’t a fan of the Chroma Rush when it first arrived.

Guardians the world over are celebrating the launch of Destiny 2's Episode: Revenant for many reasons, one of which being the return of a fan-favorite weapon: Chroma Rush.

We last saw Chroma Rush back in 2021 with Season of the Splicer. Players fell in love with the 720 RPM Kinetic weapon, and it's only gotten better with its return in this episode; multiple new perks, an origin trait, and a slight buff to autos overall have made this versatile pick beast of a pick-up.

Here's our god roll for the Chroma Rush rifle in Destiny 2, plus a guide on how to get one yourself.

Chroma Rush PvE god roll

Column
Perk
BarrelPolygonal Rifling
MagazineExtended Mag
Perk OneSubsistence
Perk TwoRampage
Kinetic Tremors
Origin TraitSplicer Surge

For PvE we're going with Subsistence and Rampage. A classic combo, the pair of perks allow the weapon to ramp up over time and after a couple of kills, Chroma Rush becomes an add clear machine.

The extra ammo from Extended Mag sets our reload speed back a bit, but Splicer Surge's benefits will counteract this. Three rapid kills in and you'll be firing until every enemy falls in a hail of bullets.

Alternatively, Kinetic Tremors is a great option in column two and adds a little extra AoE and overall damage against large groups of adds or powerful-level enemies.

Chroma Rush PvP god roll

MagazineAccurized Rounds
Perk OneTunnel Vision
Dynamic Sway Reduction
Perk TwoKill Clip
Origin TraitSplicer Surge

There are multiple great rolls in the second column for PvP. I'm leaning toward Tunnel Vision and Kill Clip, which both benefit from the faster reload provided by Splicer Surge. Combined with the weapon's inherent laser-like accuracy, Chroma Rush will become your next favorite PvP auto in no time.

Other picks include Dynamic Sway Reduction in column one or Target Lock in column two but keep in mind you'll want to go all-out on boosting the weapon's range (via a barrel perk or masterworking the gun).

Chroma Rush can be obtained by completing Onslaught: Revenant activities which can be started from the Last City. It's also recommended that you pop a Tonic of Vintage Onslaught Weaponry beforehand, granting you a higher chance of landing an extra copy of Chroma Rush.

Chroma Rush can't be crafted, but if you land the roll you're after, you can enhance the weapon to unlock the upgraded version of each column's perks. Doing so will also allow you to slot the new weapon mods for this episode (specifically for bonus handling and range)!
