Deadlock: How to wall jump

Players can now wall jump in Deadlock by simply jumping towards a wall, then double jumping away from the wall with your movement output pointed in the opposite direction. Getting used to this can be a bit tricky as you may find yourself simply double-jumping against the wall at first, but once you get the hang of it, wall jumping is pretty straightforward. Here is what it looks like in gameplay.

Being able to create extra sets of movement is critical to leveling up your Deadlock gameplay, as more skilled players are exceedingly good at chasing down players and getting those all-important kills. Learning movement like this is one of the most sure-fire ways to get better at Deadlock quickly.

When to wall jump in Deadlock: Strategy guide

Wall jumping can be useful in a lof of situations, but we think these moments will be especially impactful to utilize the new ability.

  • Prior to setting up an ability like Gray Talon's flying.
  • Dodging a skill shot like Kalista's Assassinate or Bebop's grip.
  • In a 1v1 to throw off the enemy aim and create an off-angle.
  • In late-game scenarios — there are lots of close-quarters fights in both bases and lots of walls to jump off of!
