Zip through the map to save your lanes.

Deadlock is Valve’s latest game and even though it’s not yet released, the game has generated a lot of hype. With an interface that brings together MOBA and FPS, Deadlock might just be something brings out a new genre in competitive gaming. One of the key features in Deadlock are Ziplines which are essential to move from one place to another. Here’s all you need to know about Ziplines and how to use them.

What are Ziplines in Deadlock?

Ziplines are the main means of transport for players in Deadlock. Players can go from their respawn locations to their destination quicker using Ziplines towering over buildings and structures. There’s also the occasional speed boost that allows you to reach the location even faster and join in the fight.

How to use Ziplines in Deadlock?

Any player can use the zipline to get from one place to another. You can simply look at the zipline and jump and then you will move along the zipline. While in most cases, the zipline moves at a fixed speed, occasionally you can get the option to boost your speed and move at a very fast pace. The speed boost will be useful when you want to join your teammates in the fight as quickly as possible.

Are Ziplines balanced? - Divided opinions

Speed boost on Ziplines is a controversial topic amongst players. The Ziplines speed boost has the same duration throughout the match. In most games, including ones like Dota, respawn times will vary depending on the time into the game. This ensures a balanced approach to the game. However, in Deadlock, the zipline speed boost and the gap between the speed boosts remains the same throughout. Whether this is balanced or not depends on how players utilize the speed boost feature.

I'd like to make a comment that you should make it faster in the early game to allow people to not get snowballed super quickly just for dying one time

The Ziplines bring back memories fro Bioshock Infinite’s skyline. The game itself has aesthetics that can be comparable to Bioshock Inifnite. However, Valve has brought together its expertise in MOBA and FPS to create Deadlock, which looks to be a superhit game in the making.
