Deadlock has added a new hero, so here’s everything you need to know about Mirage and his set of abilities.
Patch notes for Deadlock dropped on September 26, 2024. The first thing listed was the addition of a new hero. The newest character to Deadlock, named Mirage, brings even more mysticism to the game. He's got tornadoes, scarabs, and pretty hefty rifle in his hands.
Let's take a look at everything you need to know about this new hero. Including his in-game description and abilities.
Who is Mirage, the newest Deadlock hero?
The dapper looking gentleman named Mirage is the 22nd hero of Deadlock. He's got a fine coat, a large gun, a slick hairdo, and facial hair that makes him look a bit like Doctor Strange. He's got some abilities the good Doctor might be capable of, too.
And with one of his abilities, which we'll get to soon, being called Djinn's Mark, it looks as though he might have a Djinn captured in that contraption on his chest. Perhaps that's how he gets his powers? Here's what the in-game description says:
"Mirage can envelop himself in a violent tornado to catch up to enemies and lift them up. His scarabs help him sustain against multiple enemies, and he's always ready to help an ally or punish an enemy anywhere."

All Mirage abilities in Deadlock
Like all other heroes of Deadlock, Mirage has four abilities. One is more powerful than the others, which can be considered like his Ultimate. Let's go over all four and see what they do:
- Tornado: Transform yourself into a tornado that travels forward, damaging enemies, and lifting them up in the air. After emerging from the tornado, you gain bullet evasion.
- Fire Scarabs: Start launching fire scarabs. Each scarab can be launched separately, stealing max health from enemies and applying bullet resist reduction. Cannot apply multiple scarabs to the same enemy. The health gain from hitting heroes is 3x as effective as against non-heroes.
- Djinn's Mark: Passive - Your shots apply an increasing multiplier on the target. When the multiplier on a target expires or you reach the max, it's consumed and the target suffers Spirit Damage and is briefly revealed on the map. The final damage is the base damage times the multiplier.
- Traveler: Channeled. Target an ally or visible enemy hero on the minimap, then teleport to where they were when your channel started. After teleporting, you gain movement speed as well as fire rate until your next reload.
He definitely seems like a damage dealer, with the ability to get in and out of fights in a hurry. Best of luck if you find someone who has decided to main this new Deadlock hero, as they'll probably nail down Mirage's abilities and chase you to the world's end.
