Throughout any game of Deadlock, there are several key objective timing markers that you need to understand to best navigate throughout the map and maximize your Souls.

What we mean by this is that certain changes will happen in the game at different times. So, here are all the minute markers you need to know and what happens at each one.

All Deadlock objective timing explained

2:00

  • Small camps spawn throughout the map. These are shown with the single triangle icon and award players unsecured souls when killed. These respawn four minutes after they are killed.

3:00

  • The boxes and golden statues throughout the map will spawn. These are located all over the map and provide stacking small buffs to your hero that can add up over time.

7:00

  • Medium camps spawn throughout the map. These are denoted with a triangle with a single line under it on the minimap and award slightly more souls than small camps. These respawn six minutes after they are killed.
  • Hard camps spawn throughout the map. These are denoted with a triangle with two lines under it on the minimap and award slightly more souls than medium camps. These are significantly harder to kill than other camps and should be more of a late game priority.

10:00

  • The mid boss spawns in the center of the map. This provides a Rejuvinator buff, as well as some other great benefits that last three minutes. More on that in our mid boss guide.
  • The Urn will descend into the map. This is an item that must be carried across the map, which is denoted with a square icon that will be blue when your team has the Urn and red when the enemy team does. When you are carrying the Urn, you cannot shoot or use abilities.
  • Souls are no longer shared between teammates fighting in a lane together. Instead, players only get half of the Souls they otherwise would have, so this is a good time to lane by yourself.
  • You now only get Souls from the orbs that come off of minions, which means you get zero Souls for any orbs that are denied by opponents.
  • Teleporters throughout the map open, allowing you to move across the map quickly. More on teleporters here.
  • Vending machines spawn throughout the map. Destroying these rewards Souls.
  • Temporary buffs spawn on both sides of the map near the Urn locations. These provide a 2:30 buff and respawn every five minutes.

15:00

  • The golden statue buffs become slightly stronger, awarding players more benefits than before.
