How to Fix “Connecting to CS:GO network error”?

There are many reasons why you might not be connected to the CS:GO network. Here’s a few quick fixes that might help you connect back to the server.

Restart your Internet Router

The most common problem why players have a connection error to CS:GO is due to internet problems. As such it is most likely an issue on the player side rather than the server side. We recommend restarting your internet connection by turning off the router and turning it on again.

Turn off VPN

Steam does not support any kind of VPN. So we recommend turning off your VPN after closing the game. Restart the game and see if the issue persists. In most cases, turning off VPN will allow you to fix the problem and continue playing.

Enable Data Execution Prevention

One step is to enable the data execution Prevention setting on your computer. You can do so in a few simple steps as follows:

  1. Open Windows Settings Menu
  2. Go to Systems
  3. Click about
  4. Go to ‘Advanced System Settings’
  5. Click on Advanced
  6. Go to Settings under performance
  7. Go to Data Execution Prevention tab
  8. Click on 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select'.
