You’ll be happy to know that Valve has implemented the ability to sell your weapons back in the CS2 Buy Menu.

Counter-Strike 2, or CS2, brings many new features to it. Valve has added a lot of quality of life improvements compared to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This includes the ability to sell back your weapons in CS2, much like you can in Riot Games' FPS VALORANT.

Gone are the days where you rage buy a rifle after losing the pistol round and are stuck with it. You won't tank your team's economy from the get go anymore. Right from the Buy Menu, you can sell your weapon and try again.

Valve has made it very easy for you to sell your weapons in CS2. Of course, you'll need to buy a weapon first in order to sell it. If you're careful with your choice, you won't need to sell it back. If you aren't, here are all of the steps to do so:

  1. Press the B key to open the CS2 Buy Menu
  2. Click on a highlighted piece of equipment or weapon to purchase it
  3. Hover over the arrow icon that appears in the bottom left corner of the weapon's box
  4. Click on that arrow to initiate a refund and sell back the weapon

This is the best way to ensure team's are on the same page when it comes to spending money in CS2. The weapon will leave your hands, the money will return to your bank, and you can use it to buy another weapon more suited for the coming round.

It is important to note that you can only sell weapons in CS2 in the round they were bought. For example, if you purchase an AWP and hold onto it after your team wins the round, you will not be able to get a refund for it during the Buy Phase of the following round.
