Poison Mushroom Cookie received their Magic Candy upgrade in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Their ability to throw a cluster of small mushrooms now includes a giant one that deals explosive damage. It’s a good ability that fits Poison-team compositions. However, it’s not a groundbreaking upgrade as there are better options in the game that require less investment.

Poison Cloud

Plants mushrooms that release purple poison clouds around themselves. Poisoned enemies become disoriented and suffer from a debuff reducing Healing, but Poison Mushroom Cookie claims that was never the intention. Poison clouds deal extra Poison DMG to monsters and bosses.

Magic Candy: Full of Shroomies

Tosses a giant poisonous mushroom along with regular mushrooms, dealing additional damage with explosions. When the skill is reused, existing Toxic Pools do not disappear and instead stack. Stacked Toxic Pools inflict additional Poison according to the number of stacks.

Poison Mushroom Cookie in CRK is a decent DPS with supportive capabilities. Allies who are within the AoE of the mushrooms receive a DMG Reduction buff. This makes them a good unit to have if you are struggling to survive attacks from the Red Velvet Dragon Guild Boss. Unfortunately, even with their Magic Candy upgrade, Prune Juice Cookie remains the better and cheaper poison DPS to invest in for PvE content.

Toppings

Red Velvel Dragon Build: 5x Searing Raspberry with Searing Raspberry Tart
PvE Content: 3x Swift Chocolate + 2x Searing Raspberry with Swift Chocolate Tart

Generally, you will want to maximize the damage with Searing Raspberry toppings and tart. However, if you have the Magic Candy +20 or +30 upgrade, you can add a bit of Cooldown to spam more mushrooms.

Beascuit

Spicy Beascuit
Main Stats: Poison DMG
Secondary Option: ATK, Cooldown

The Beascuit needs to have either Poison DMG, as they mainly deal elemental damage. However, rerolling for good stats can be expensive. You can settle for ATK or Coolodown until you can get more resources to reroll.

Guild Battle Poison Team: Black Sapphire, Candy Apple, Shadow Milk, Poison Mushroom, Pom-pom Dough

This team is cheap to build, as only Poison Mushroom Cookie has a Magic Candy upgrade. Candy Apple will provide a shield for the team to sustain. Additionally, Black Sapphire and Pom-pom Dough, despite being a support, also deal a ton of damage on top of amplifying Poison damage. Shadow Milk is there to trigger special effects from Black Sapphire and Candy Apple.

This is the our recommended treasures to use against the Red Velvet Dragon Guild Boss in CRK. As usual, equip the Jelly Watch for the Cooldown effect. Add the Crimson Magic Whistle to increase the team’s elemental damage. Lastly, get the Old Pilgrim’s Scroll to further increase the team’s ATK stat. If your team dies during the fight, consider replacing the scroll with the Disciple’s Magic Scroll, which applies less ATK buff but includes a DEF boost.
