The Playing Style dealbreaker, in short, is all based on your team's stats in College Football 25 Dynasty mode. However, the tricky thing is figuring out what stats you need to improve upon to get that pesky recruit back in your good graces. So, here's how you find that out.
- In your Dynasty mode, navigate to your Recruiting tab
- Once there, hit RB (on Xbox) to toggle over to the My School tab
- There, you can use the RT (on Xbox) to look at how you stack up against other schools in the country with different elements of your Playing Style based on the archetype/tendency of the recruit you are after
The gallery below, courtesy of esports.gg, shows a few different player archetypes and the stats they are looking for. Be sure to pay close attention, as some of the same positions will want different stats based on their archetype, like a Blocking TE versus a Vertical Threat TE, for example.
So, you will need to look through these stats, identify what archetype/tendency your recruit is after, and then work to improve that aspect of your team in your upcoming games. If you are successful, you should be able to swing that recruit and re-enter negotiations with them. Fail, and it could cost you that 4-star gem QB you've been working towards all season long.
