College Football 25 Heisman difficulty guide

There is a lot that goes into winning a game on Heisman in College Football 25, but getting the hang of a few basic ideas should do wonders for your win percentage. For starters, let's take a look at the offensive side of the ball.

Offensive tips for winning on Heisman in College Football 25

On offense, your biggest enemies on Heisman will be turnovers and sacks. To help limit both, you will want to make sure you are keeping a balance of run and pass to prevent the CPU from getting devastating pass rushes on you. With a weak offensive line, this can be especially crippling.

We have a few plays that we really like to help create this balance in a safe way, which includes a lot of jet sweeps, inside runs in a Full House package, and steak passes out of a run formation like the Pistol. These, we have found, are all safe plays that can still be explosive on occasion, especially with the right skill players.

More than anything, just don't give up the drive-killing play and throw a bad interception or make a risky option lateral. Sometimes, you win games by taking five-yard sacks and moving on!

Defensive tips for winning on Heisman in College Football 25

On defense, we have found luck with identifying a formation and running plays solely from that formation until the CPU breaks through if they do at all. One that we have had mostly good results with is the Nickel Double Mug. This defense can be found in several playbooks, but we like to run it out of a 3-3-5 defense, as we feel like we mostly get beat on passing plays. Nickel Double Mug can confuse offensive linemen, has good zone blitz, and has a good variety of reliable passing defenses.

However, whatever formation you choose to run in mainly, make sure you have a backup in mind if you are having trouble. Sometimes, the matchups just aren't there and you need to run a heavier 4-2-5. Have a plan, but be adaptable.

As an actual player, one of the best things you can do for yourself is learn how to be comfortable playing as a linebacker in zone coverage. Playing man-to-man is one thing, but sitting in a zone and lurking around the middle of the field can make a huge difference and should get you some interceptions sooner or later.

All in all, Heisman takes practice. We have lost so many games on this difficulty that we have lost count, but getting more consistent is certainly doable with the right playcalling and execution.
