In order to throw a lob pass in College Football 25, you need to quickly press the 'reciever button' for the player you're wanting to aim at while holding L1/LB. Be careful though, anything more than a quick tap will trigger a different type of pass. Too much power means you will throw a bullet pass or simply launch the ball miles away and miss entirely.
Lob passes are effective in College Football 25 when you want to throw deep, past the defence for your chosen receiver to run onto in space. It's really important that you have enough space for your receiver to run into or the defence might be able to intercept the ball instead.
The lob pass isn't the best pass to use every single time in your matches. They are easier to catch than Bullet Passes sometimes, because they have less pace. It can be hard to execute, and not always super accurate, so make sure you practice in the practice arena to get those lob passes perfect. After all, it's one thing throwing a lob pass but you have to catch it too!
