Here’s how to master the Switch Stick in CFB 25.

One of the easiest ways to take control of a College Football 25 game is by getting an interception, and one of the best ways to do that is by using a new feature called the Switch Stick. This is a little more nuanced than just swapping players as the pass is being thrown, so here's everything you need to know to ensure you're using the new mechanic correctly in the game.

How to use the Switch Stick in College Football 25

In order to use the Switch Stick in College Football 25, you need to first make sure you are controlling a player that is already in coverage. This will not work if you are blitzing with a linebacker or a defensive end.

If that is the case, at any point, you can flick the right joystick in the direction of the player you want to swap to and you will instantly take control of that player. This can be massively effective for jumping routes and getting key interceptions at crucial points in games. Just be sure you don't blow coverage and leave a receiver open!

So, to recap, here's all you need to know to use the Switch Stick effectively:

  1. Already be controlling a player in coverage on defense
  2. Flick the right joystick towards the player you want to switch to
  3. Be ready to control that player immediately — if you have your left joystick pointed in a direction, they will begin running that way
  4. Be ready to press Y/triangle to make the interception
